I was doing my pre-trip checks and found a plug that was not connected to anything. Not, sure that it ever was. So, does anyone else have a "CLNT VOL LVL" plug hooked to anything?

Went out and looked at my Dolphin, didn't see anything similar.

I imagine it stands for "Coolant Volumn Level." I don't think our coolant tanks have a place for that to plug in..

I found the cable with the same label you have. It's folded back and taped with black tape and it does not have a connector attached. Obviously not us in this application.

Dale, I've got the same thing just hanging there so if you find out where it goes, let me know too.
I believe that plug was discussed here before ,and since I remember the thread, if it was discovered what it is or where it goes, I'd probably remember that too; but I don't.

On some of the bigger trucks, there is a low coolant sensor. There is possibly a newer coolant tank available for this purpose. I always believed that there should be a low coolant sensor, by the time the temp gauge shows hot it is sometimes too late. The other problem is that when the coolant is so low the temp gauge doesn't always show a problem until you blow a head gasket or worse

I suspected that it is not used and just thought I would see if anyone else had it just "hanging around".

I should have looked at the acita Cluster manual first.... No Low Coolant Level light on the dash.
