I have been unable to get WCC service in my local area to check a oil leak so now I'm booked to go 450 miles back to Lazy Days for service.

My concern is driving that distance with an oil leak that I have been unable to determine the cause. It is coming from the radiator area in front of the engine and the oil seems to be a little "tackey" unlike normal engine oil. It appears to be almost clear and only generates a small leak while being driven; after a few hours parked it does not seem to leak. My TOAD had a good coating the last time I was on the road but I can't really tell how much oil is coming out (engine level is always full).

Any thoughts on what the source is (engine or xmission) and concerns on dirving 450 miles under these conditions?

Thanks.

In front of radiator their are several sources. power steering/brake booster fluid, brake fluid and hydraulic fluid from the levelling jacks-although that may be red fluid as in transmission oil.

Just pull over about every 100 and check engine and transmission. You can also follow the wetting source up from the bottom of the undercarriage to help locate the source.

Howdy,
I am having the same problem with my 01 Adventurer. I spent 2 hours at camping world checking the non chasis items and then 2 hours at a WCC service center in Minneapolis to no avail. Also had the Allsion trans serviced at one of their centers and the tech said the leak was not coming from there either.I don't notice any low levels, but oil is getting all over the bottom of the coach. The shocks are covered and it blows back on the side panes as well. Would love to know what you find. My email is Rsteele345@hotmail.com
If you would be so kind as to let me know what you find. I will do likewise if you send me your email adress.
Thanks and good luck.

Don't be privite about what you find, please let us all know. Fluid leaks are not fun and always helpful to find where and how they come about.

My appointment with WCC is Oct 5th so it will be awhile before I hopefully get it fixed and I'll keep all informed.
