We were going to leave today BUT since it's going to rain practically all day long we decided to stay an extra day.
We're going to go to the show this afternoon and hang out a while and see what's new for 2007. It's been kinda hectic here and we haven't had much personal time. I did try the french fries and they were pretty good.
Newmar is showing a new floorplan on a W25.5 chassis and Tiffin also brought a coach built on the 25.5.
Winnebago/Itasca have a very large display area and they have practically a proportional mix of Ford and GM/Workhorse Class C coaches. Other manufactures are also on the GM/Workhorse Class C bandwagon as well.
The UFO is getting a lot of attention from the press, dealers and manufacturer reps. The display was buzzing yesterday during the official introduction of the UFO. the Georgetown RE by Forest River showed the first retail coach on the UFO and I hope to find out today how that's going. I'm thinking they probably sold the thing on the first day of the show.
I saw Jon Krider yesterday from Four Winds and he's doing well. Jon previously hosted our Thursday night Workhorse Chat.
There is a small but significant quantity of Workhorse R-Series diesel pushers here at the show and those can be seen at the Yellowstone and Gulfstream display areas.
If you come to the Workhorse display booth located right under the huge red Giant Center letters at the front of the building you can see the UFO Chassis. In the booth there's also a 2006 W22 chassis for folks that want to see the front engine chassis and compare apples to oranges.
