I have been trying to find a valve extender to fit my outer rear dually so I can more easily check the tire pressure. I have tried to find an 180deg, but all I can find fit aluminum wheels (I did try it and it did not fit) and I have steel rims. I believe I have tried a 135deg, but did not find one. I have searched the forum sites and have not really found anything that addresses the issue. So I will ask how everyone else is checking the tire pressure on the outer dual (I have a hard time taking off and putting back on the valve cap) and if you have installed an extender or not.

I have the same problem with mine because of the wheel covers, I just take the covers off and am able to check the pressure that way.

I put some on that look like a "U" shape 180 DEG
Had to cut or grind out the opening in the wheel cover so they would fit. They straight metal extenders on inside wheel.

I have some 135 degreee extenders that work quite well. I got them at Camping World. At first, they would rotate so that I had to turn them back to use the air gauge. Once I tightened them with a pair of pliers, they work fine.
Hope this helps. I also added 45 degree extenders to the front wheels, because I couldn't get my gauge on to the straight stem valves. Now, I can check all the tires easily.
Try Camping World.
Good luck.

I use the flexible braided stainless steel hose-type extenders from Camping World. They look sharp and make servicing very easy.

I also use the flexible braided stainless steel hose-type extenders from Camping World. I know some people will tell you these are a problem however, if you mount the outer end of the hose per instructions the hoses will not move around and will not become a problem. It is important to check your air pressure often so why not make it simple? Works for me.

Mine came from the factory (National RV) with the braided stainless flex extensions on the rears. Work great.
For some reason they did not provide extensions for my fronts, which have the same problem that you describe for your rear outsides. I added them myself.
I suspect that different brands of coaches use different wheel covers and thus may have different problems in valve access?

Nick & Sheila
Check with Borg Tire www.borgtiresupply.com. They have some very good extensions available.
