I've got a buddy with a P-32 and one of his air bags (in the coil spring) has developed a leak and needs replacement. I tried to talk him into ditching the bags and just get the super coil springs but he already has a new bag and wants my help replacing it.

I'm going to help him replace the bag next week. I was thinking you could pull a vacuum on the old bag and maybe pull it out the bottom, and do the same with the new one....suck it flat, insert it, and inflate.

Anyone ever replaced a bag in the spring before and, if yes, any suggestions would be appreciated.

Here is a link to the instructions included with the AirLift brand replacement bags:

http://airlift.r-catalog.com/ImgVD/AIL/MN-360.pdf

The instructions for removal are included also.

Some mention that soaking the new bags in hot(within reason) soapy water helps with installing the new ones.

Just be safe and use a good solid set of jack stands. Save the beer for when you are done.

switch the inlet and outlet on your compressor to deflate the airbags.
