The P-Series as we have known it has achieved its end of life and is being replaced by lighter W-Series chassis.
The introduction of the new "lighter GVW" chassis will occur shortly and it would seem that July is the target date for the transition. I hope to find out more about that when I visit Union City next week.
My theory on this would be that the rail would probably remain the same as it is now, the GM transmission and the engine would remain the same but the upside would be that these chassis would be equipped with the Stabil-Ride front I beam and rear suspension components.
The OEMs and we consumers most likely would have W-Series choices from 16K all the way up to 24K of GVW.
