Question Park Alarm & rear brake lights?

Another problem with my UFO: When I put the Allison Trans into Park the alarm keeps going and the dash brake light flashes. The rear brake lights stay on. This happens when engine is running?
Any advice?

Thank You....

I should add that this problem started after all the exhaust work, as in my other thread regarding Tach. and Speedo.???

With all your electrical problems, I am wondering if the muffler shop welded on your vehicle without disconnecting the batteries, possibly causes some faults in your electrical system, Engine ECM, sensors etc...

Did the muffler company weld on your UFO?

Yes, they did some welds on both sides, and did not disconnect the batteries. What makes you think that this caused all my problems. Do you have something to support this?

Doing most of my mechanical work on RVs and Jeeps myself, I was always taught growing up if you weld on your own vehicle, you should disconnect the vehicles negative cable, as it COULD possibly affect computer components of the vehicles.

But here is just the first link when binged the subject.

If you need more info just google or bing it.

I am not saying this is what caused your electrical problems, but it seems that you have a few problems with a few components (sensors, ECU) at the same time, it would be hard to believe that all these things went bad at the same time without one thing in common.

Bottom line I guess is that there is nothing you can do to rectify the problem but next time someone welds on your vehicle make sure they disconnect the battery, its a 5 min job.

Here is an actual video about a vehicle that got welded on without the battery disconnected and the owner had issues with brake lights and melted wires.

Angry

OMG. Has this screwed up my ECU etc. etc.? I have spent $4000 in repairs to my coach in one month.
