Hello to all. I am checking for a friend. He has a 2001 Condor by R-Vision. He is having problem with his parking brake. When he put it in park the RV still move. He had it work on and when he got home the same problem. He was told that he need to get the electrical diag, but the company is out of Business. Any one has this problem with the park brake? Any recommendation? Thank you.

Thanks for coming back...I spoke with my friend and he said yes to the autopark. In speaking with him more he said that the tech when under the RV with a tester and testing the wires and noticed that the brake will engage. Now the switch was change in the RV and the problem continue. He also mentioned that they check the switch and noticed that electric come in but no electric go out. When he touch the switch it does not engage the brake. So they are confuse that is hot coming in and not hot when engaging the switch. In speaking with him some more he said that all the wires was change under the rv. But I think the tech did not use a diagram and now maybe the wires are not connecting correct and no one wants to touch without a electric diagram. Any one have a good workhorse phone number?

If this is on the P30 chassis send me a PM with a good email address and I will overload your inbox with everything oldusedbear sent me. I fixed my system for less than $40.00 and another member just fixed his with the same instructions. Fairly simple process but must be done in order, then once everything is working if it still rolls then you need to adjust the drum brake on the drive line and I have those instructions as well.

I too will recommend Oldusedbear he is the autopark expert here.

If you want to compare his knowledge of that system against the Dealer tech.. The dealer tech is going to have to change his diapers cause that's the relative knowledge level.

I do, however, have a question on the good old fashing stomp on the pedal parking brake...... (w series chassis)

Anyone know how to tighten it down?

wa8yxm, The stomp parking brake is adjusted via a clevis which is located on the parking brake drum on the driveline.

Disengage the parking brake, make sure the machine is in park, chock the wheels.

Back off on the jam nut, remove the cotter pin from the clevis pin, remove the pin. Screw the clevis (fork) in to tighten. Just go perhaps 2 turns. Align and restore the clevis pin and cotter pin. Tighten the jam nut. Try the foot applied parking brake to see if the adjustment is to your liking. Don't go too many turns all at once.

I believe this will work for you.
