I have a 2002 Itasca Sunrise on a P30 Chassis.

After being parked for three weeks I started it without any problem and moved it about 20 feet. When I put it back into park the warning light that says brake lit up (not the normal power parking brake light)and the buzzer sounded.

When I put it back into drive the buzzer stops but when I put in into park the buzzer sounds again.

Slides are in, jacks are up and the parking brake is off.

Brake fluid doesn't seem to be low.

Am I missing something here?

Your help would be greatly appreciated.

You should have front brake pads inspected. Mine were gone at 28k miles...the rotors were cracked too.Could be a short starting to happen with the ignition switch. I have 02 Sunrise with second ignition switch...pink wire gets hot and will burn up. Had the same problem at times...new switch solved it for awhile. It still does it occasionally.

On my '98 the buzzer always sounds when it is in park with the engine running. Both the autopark and brake lights come on. I think this is normal operation of the buzzer. If you shift to neutral the buzzer will stop. If you manually engage the autopark the buzzer will sound again.
