Sometime in the last week, I got some communication stating that PPA was discounting their membership to WH owners.. Couldn't remember from whom, or where tho ..
Wifey called to renew this AM, and not only got a years worth of discount, but an additional 6 months free. SO, seems like 42 months, for what is the regular rate for 24..Wifey isn't here just now, so I can't give you the figures, but if you are considering renewing, you might want to ask PPA for "the WH deal"..rgr...

Passport America even allowed us to renew our membership with the $20 Workhorse discount certificate and then gave us four (4) extra months free. What a deal!

Do very many campgrounds honor the membership?

Thanks,

There are quite a few. We can usually - but not always - find one when we want.
We have been members for several years and recoup our membership cost in two or three nights and then start racking up savings after that.

I made the mistake of listening to people that said the member parks were all miles off the highways and didn't join at first.
We don't have any problem finding member parks within a couple of miles or less from the roads and interstates we travel on.

I have seen a few parks that were run down, but then I have seen run down parks when I was paying full price.
A lot of the parks don't have swimming pools and that sort of thing, but for an overnight stay I don't care.

Actually the parks we stay in for months don't have those amenities either. We don't use them and don't want to pay for them.

Thanks,

Then I guess it wouldn't take too long to get back the $24 membership

We got an email from WCC with THIS LINK to the PA sign-up page. Since the page seemed to be for new memberships and we wanted to extend our existing membership, we just gave them a call and mentioned the email. They gave us the $20 discount plus an additional 4 months free. We got 16 months for $24.
