Steve, how is the "Beast" running and do you have any plug wire problems?

Dale, was looking at your DIY CAI and notice the opening of box faces directly to the front, I have the box from Brazels which is much larger had to cut firewall and turn coolent tank to fit over box which turned out pretty good for an old man. Have you traveled in rain storm with the large grill opening it must get wet in there has it affected your install. My box is also facing the headlights more towards corner but I can see the box opening right thru grill under light.
DriVers box faces his head lights but he doesn't have the grill opening under his headlight and he has been thru some heavy rain storms.

No Mike, it is burnt inside the boot like the others, where it is next to the manifold. I will take it apart this week before the next trip. It sounds like a leak when it gets good and hot. Jason from Areo has not yet returned my call, I will call him again.

Steve, do you have metal shields over your boots that ride over the spark plugs, there is a small spring on end of shield, protects both boot and spark plug. Never saw one before, had three Fords before, until I changed my wires and plugs last week. All my old wires were as good as new also manifolds have a heat shield over them also.

Unfortunately a burnt wire at this time points toward a blow torch effect and I would suspect a bad manifold gasket or some other problem related to the exhaust manifold.
I will be seeing Chris Christy tomorrow and I certainly will mention this to him. I thought for sure that we had this thing licked!
