Was looking at the Interm policy and noticed that the effected vehicles are those that were completed by December 19, 2007. For my own knowlege did Workhorse start using a new system on December 20? Is it a different system altogether or a new caliper design for the previous Borsh system?

Thanks

Nutmeg, No sir. Same brakes even on 2010 models no change. The only change will come when the campaign launches.

Then that begs the questions.....
Why aren't those calipers being recalled too???
Won't all those owner have to go thru this nosebleed in 3-5 years too???

Driver, thanks for the Info. FYI, you are remembered and spoken well of, by the staff at Arlington.

Duner, Why such a terse comment?

What we see as language with an end date I believe will be transparent as the campaign moves forward. I expect and in my opinion, all current model ZOHT calipers 2007 to the last one installed on a chassis will be subject to the campaign because they will not be in compliance with 90501-C.

Now there's also Ford, Freightliner, Alpine and other RV platforms that are using the same caliper however language instituting a recall to bring those calipers under the umbrella of the NHTSA Campaign ID number : 09V110000 is absent at the moment. I expect that will change.

This isn't over yet.

Nutmeg, Steve Moran went the extra mile for me on an issue that would have made life difficult for us however he made that go away. What a guy! Regrettable that he passed away at such a young age.

Gary as always has been our friend and the sales staff at Arlington are folks that I see quite often at the industry trade shows.

I brought my rig there for Workhorse service since they are a service center and I have also had Blue Ox base plate work done there as well.

They also have the largest parts and accessory department that I have seen in a private RV dealership.

Ok DriVer, then leave out the word "nosebleed". Thanks for answering my questions.
It's just that lots of us owners continue to be quite anxious over this long ordeal and we don't have the privy of what is going on behind the scenes at the various companies and NHTSA.

Duner, Include me in the list of owners. I am not immune to the campaign and like everyone else I would like to get this process far into the rear view mirror. This issue does however put a lot of people in the forum for one reason or another. Concluding the campaign, I guess we'll have to go back to resume discussions about those ol' familiar issues that we have grown to love so much.
