I have a loud whine that the previous owner said Workhorse told him that it was coming from the power steering and there was no fix. I find this hard to belive. I called Workhorse and they told me it was normal. When I told them that this was my second 03 W22 and the first one did not have it I got some smart remark (I don't hear anything) Any one have this problem?

I had one a while ago, but then I checked the PS fluid level and it was a little low. After it still made noise but not as loud..
Like a dealer told me "It's the nature of the beast" That's the canned answer when they don't have a good reason!

Check and make sure the engine fan is not rubbing on the fan shroud. It sound just like a power steering whine. I know from experience. Rick

Check out the picture and recent (today) discussion under "Loud Engine Noise" for additional insight into this problem. Good Luck

Same Here, My WH dealer checked with Workhorse and they decided to try a special cold weather fluid to see if the Groan would go away. Sorry to say, No Luck.
