Bad luck seems to run in 3s or more.
I went to raise the front end of the MH to have room to get to the SP wire thru the wheel well and the Power Gear jacks won't work because it thinks I don't have the parking brake engaged. The autopark is engaged and is working fine (so far anyway).
I realize this is not a WH problem but the autopark yellow button is WH exclusive.
Does anyone know if there is a fuse where the yellow button connects to the powergear operating panel? Or where I can bypass this?
I can not find a current contact # for Powergear. The old one I had has been disconnected.

That true, the recording said, if you're an RV owner, hang up and call your dealer.
All batts and switches are on, in fact the powergear control box stays on all the time now (if I have the key on)and I can't turn it off. It won't operate because it says parking brake is not engaged whether it is or if it's not and we're driving down the road. So that's another symptom of the problem, it stays on all the time but is useless.
That'd be great Driver, if I could talk to a real person there. Maybe they would recognize the symptoms. Thanks

Check to make sure that your parking brake switch is working correctly by looking at the instrument cluster and verifying that the parking brake icon is illuminated. Check and clean the safety interconnect connector at the transmission.

My coach has a small switch attached to the parking brake mechanism. If the wire falls off the switch, then the levelers won't work. This has happened to me in the past.

Hi Fred, do you have the normal foot operated parking brake or the 'autopark' with the yellow button? Mine has the electric operated autopark system. I guess It could have a switch connected to a switch. There's something else wrong too because it never used to care if the P brake was on or off if the leveler control panel was turned off. Now it just keeps blinking, can't turn it off with the key on but it won't operate any thing.
If I take it to a shop , it'll probably be another $300 or $500 to fix the modern technology electronic circuit boards . I miss the old 4 stick levelers with no stinkin computers or circuit boards.

Max, I have the foot operated parking brake so I guess it wouldn't be the same.

With either the yellow button or the foot brake somewhere in the operation there is a switch to send the engaged signal to the jacks. Ours is a foot pedal and sometimes I have to release it several times before the message is sent, one of these days I will look for the switch and adjust it.
My dealer doesn't like Powergear. I'm trying to order a float switch for the fluid level and he can't get them on the phone.

Do any IRV sponsors sell Power Gear parts or does anyone know a good place to buy these parts from?
Touch Pad 500675 obsolete New# 500675S was quoted $312
Control Box 500674 obsolete New# 500674S " " $540
At these prices, I bet there will a lot of 10+ year old MHs that just don't get fixed.
China could probably mass produce those "Touch Pads" for a couple of bucks each.
I was going to try fixing it myself. I figured the Touch Pad would maybe be 20 or $30 so I'm still in shock.
Anyone know a better place to buy Power Gear parts? Any one know of a place that stocks some Power gear parts.

I have a W-series (no auto-park) but there is a wire, that hooks to the switch, in fact there are 2 wires on that switch in my rig.. One fell off.
On my rig one is the jacks and the other the dash indicators/alarm. You may not have the 2nd one.. But it is for sure that somewhere the 1st is disconnected.

I have had several people tell me that when a wire came off their parking brake , their jacks didn't work right. Maybe I just haven't found a loose connection yet. Did any one get a Power Gear Error Code like this?
Here is my error code exactly.
Indication (blinking LEDs) Mode
On/Off, Jacks Down & Park Brake Panel Communication Error
Mode: Panel Communication Error
Indication:
The following LEDs are blinking together: On/Off, Jacks Down & Park Brake
Cause:
Poor connection between components or faulty component
Fix:
Check to make sure that all connections are tight and properly connected. Cycle power to reset. If that
does not work, try replacing components individually, starting with the wire harness, then the touch pad, and lastly the control box
