Problems with Four Ways Flasher W22 -2004

having problems with my four ways flasher....I seen in older threads that pulling the swith slowly will make it work as per following :
posted last year.

My switch has been acting up since I bought the MH. I found that if you put the switch in the on position (up), grab the button with two fingers and pull up and it will start working. Also you can let the switch snap up to the on position by sliding your finger off the button quickly.I think its a contact issue within the switch. The more I do this the better it works.

Sadly, you are in the market for a new switch. They are OEM junk and many have failed before now,in your year of coach. Mine gave up years ago.

I have recently replaced the turn signal/wiper/4-way,cruise... switch on my 2005 Bounder. Take a look at my posting on this forum on 8/26 titled "Replacing the turn signal switch on a Workhorse W20.." A replacement source is posted there.

The problem with the 4-ways is that they run too many bulbs - too much load - in the circuit for the switch to handle it without an in-circuit relay. This overheats the switch and burns it out. Inspection of my faulty switch revealed partially melted plastic inside. Extended use of the 4-ways will likely make the switch fail, so use them as little as possible.
