I have heard from another site that there is a recall by Workhorse underway regarding problem instrument panels. Also, a post on this forum refers to a call to WH and someone being told that their unit VIN was part of a instrument cluster recall. I looked under this forum and could not find any specifics - maybe I just missed the article or thread. Could you shed some light on this for us? What are the VIN cutoffs for problem clusters? What are they doing? I have a 2003 W22 and it will be out of warranty this year. I would like to know if I have a problem possible in the future with it. Thank you for your help with this site. It is probably the best WH info going anywhere.

i'm just going to do a reply to bump this up to help keep it on the list. I bet DriVer is checking on the VINs for the recall with his buddy. Thank you for helping.

I received the recall notice today, curiously it was addressed by name to someone else, tho the address was mine. I called WH customer service, and they replied that something was wrong with their addressing process, but tho the name was wrong, the recall notice indeed was mine..I asked if the guy whose name was on mine would be going unnotifed, the tech insisted that everyone that needed to be notified, would be..I then asked if mine was going to need the reprogramming, since my entire IP was replaced a few weeks ago.. He couldnt anwswer that, it looks like I will have to take it to my dealer, and hook it up to the reprogrammer to see if its current..I would advise anyone who thinks they should have received the recall, and havent, based on the numbers that Hamie posted, to call WH service dept...rgr...

I got my notice on Saturday, and it was addressed to the wrong person also.

Makes you wonder.....

Got my recall today.... Looks like a trip to the WH dealer.... I hope this one goes better than the last time.

Last time was vring it and we will look at it (shock issue). Drive 35 miles only to find out that they wanted me to leave a 2 week old RV for a week in their back lot with a set of keys.... Not!

Read your Service Bulletin. It says "dealers equipped with the proper tools..." can do the IP service. To me, this means a laptop computer and most importantly, the CAT connection cable.
If you're considering getting this work done soon, call beforehand and ensure they have the "tools"; if you've got an '03 that might need complete swap-out of the dash,I'd call to see if they have a complete Actia panel there as a spare when you go in.

My recall had the wrong name on it as well. Oh well, at least they got the address correct!

What a PITA. Closest dealer several hours away. That's about $70 in gas. Is this recall critical or can I wait a few months and do it when at least I need some other maintenance done?

Pushin 40, the rep I spoke to at WH told me that it was NOT a drivability issue, and was in no hurry.., ie: no expiration date on the recall, but, as it does concern a warning about Anti Lock brake failure warning lights, it is of importance.. I plan to wait till I get a few "issues" piled up and make "1 last, everything fixed now", trip",.... for about the 4th time...rgr...

I'm sorry that I didn't get on this thread earlier but traveling FT has it's challenges. Currently my promised Wi-Fi connection is actually a TELCO Line situated in between 2 dryers in a laundry room.

I wrote a separate thread about the IP recall and as stated, it's not mission critical. Just have the IP reprogrammed at your next routine service stop @ a service center that has the technology to do the IP reprogram.

It looks like I'm going to get a recall notice for the IP reprogram as well.

Now if my mail can catch up with me at some point, I'll get the recall notice.

I fall asleep while trying to hook up with Nextel and I have a full boat in bars. (100% signal strength.) I'm thinnin' about doing a Verizon cellular PC Card device. Understand about $160.00 to buy and $50 / per mo.

It's gotta be better than Nextel's slow slow slow service. (Wake up!)
