Does anyone have and R-Series and are happy with it. The R-Series is the rear deisel chassis.

If you are referring to the Roadmaster RR8 or RR10 chassis, I have the RR8 under my 2008 Monaco Camelot and totally love it. The air suspension works continuously to keep the structure as level as possible. The ride is stable and smooth and the two shocks per wheel position put the finishing touches on an excellent chassis.

Workhorse's website shows the only manufacture building on this chassis is Gulf Stream. The Crescendo model. They have some interesting floorplans but there is a very large step up in the bedroom over the rear diesel. You may have to post on a Gulf Stream forum.

Back in 04 I told the WH Rep Jon Krider that the "R" chassis was fighting an up hill battle and the I doubted that it would ever do much unless a major OEM used as the standard on a popular model. So far I am right on the money...

I believe all Rexhall diesels are on the Workhorse R series since Workhorse has been making them.

Brenden,

Let me guess:

1) You are having a hard time find a good repair facility to work on the chassis.
2) Parts... they have to order everything.

From what I read on this forum, that happens with any WH chassis. Even the Gas ones....
That may not necessarily be true but I am sure finding that MANY other parts manufacturers for motorhomes are like that. "Oh, you need that part.. Well we will have to order that."
Sorry, I am a little mad at a part vendor right now.

Find a service place no problem and yes they do have to order every part however we can not drive our rv in the rain it overcharges the batteries every time and fries the alternator we have had three of the replaced, big boy relay, all grounds rewired, and another fuse box. It runs great until it rains and then it happens all over again.
