One of the two electric fans for my radiator has quit. Where is the best place to get a replacement.
This will be for a 02 Winnebago Adventurer.
Thanks,
Ron

Hayden makes a fan similar to what you have. IIRC there is thread about this and the OP just swapped motors.

After browsing the threads on electric fans, I see where some people have gotten by with only one fan running. I don't know how long I have been running on just one fan, but would like to know if I will have any problems running with one fan until I can get it replaced?
Looks like it is not going to be an easy job locating a replacement.
Thanks,
Ron

Check out the Hayden 3670/3680 fan.. they run about $49 -$59 at most autoparts stores. You can just swap the motors.
Try calling Hayden and see if you can just get a motor. Hayden

Ron, I have seen these fans on the shelf at Carquest. NAPA should have a direct replacement if you bring them the old unit. The fans are off the shelf parts and there should not be too much effort required to find one.
Running 1 fan will reduce the efficiency of the air conditioning system and as auxiliary cooling devices you are reducing the effectiveness of that strategy by 50%. As we are in the heat of summer, my thought would be I want more cooling if at all possible and I would resolve this issue sooner than later.
As Oemy pointed out, the fans are cheap.

Well, I got my electric fan replaced but not without a hitch
Would you believe one of the four bolts was stubborn and didn't want to loosen up.
The fan was rather expensive, $111.00, I guess things are a little more expensive here in Tampa. The only place I could find a replacement was Napa.
Thanks for all of the help
Ron

Don't feel too bad Ron. Several years ago I discovered one of my fans was not working two days before I was about to leave for a 5500 mile trip. My first day's travel was across the Southern California desert with a predicted high of 114 degrees. I didn't have time to shop around so I bought an official "Workhorse" fan. Cost me $280.00 for just the fan. I installed it myself.

Fred,
$280 for just the Fan, I wonder what it would cost today
The complete job probably could have cost me upwards of $400.00 at that price. At least I was able to save the labor
Wound up with a few skinned knuckles and a tired and sore body, but was glad I was able to do it
Ron

Curious, how did you discover that one fan wasn't working??

Are you asking me or Fred?
If me, I was having some other work done and the mechanic saw that one of the electric fans wasn't working. Sure enough the fans bearings were frozen up. It would try to start but wouldn't move very far before it would stop.
