Just checked with Gulf Stream and they recommend what I thought.....jacks down, then slides out....them in reverse when you depart. In short, first down, last up. Thanks.

My manual says level first, front to back and then left to right, and then
extend slides. You can fine tune level after slides are out at any time.

Ran into same problem today while starting the coach to charge the batteries. Air suspension lift the coach to riding height, but when I dumped the air, only the front end dropped, leaving the rear end at normal riding height. Odd thing is that the air pressure gauges in the coach indicated that both the rear and front had depleted the pressure as the gauges both showed pressure dropping.

Is it possible that the release solenoid at the rear is bad or something blocking the line? If this is the case, why would the gauge for the rear show a pressure decrease when the air dump toggle switch or brakes are hit, but the unit does not drop?

Welcome to the forum.... There aren't many of us C40K owners out there We always level then put out slides.. The air bag issue is another story.. In the 13 months we have owned the DP we have dumped the air maybe twice. Now the air gauge, front, rear bags, I am at a loss. We have a primary and a secondary gauge. I thought one was for the breaking system and one for the air suspension. So I can't really address that problem other to say that the times we have dumped the air, it takes what I feel is a long time to equal out, front to back. The same happens when we are getting ready to roll, the air bags take longer on the right side to get to level than the left side. I just can tell you our C40K is a great coach, and I have not found a coach I would trade it for...

Thanks for the commentary. I have a call into workhorse to talk about the air suspension and theme we will go from there. I agree on the C40k as being a great coach and a lot of coach for the dollars! Regards.

Rear air dump repaired

I had a workhorse dealer complete the repair to the rear air dump system and they have confirmed all is in working order now. However, when I dump the air, the passenger rear tire tucks behind the tire fender, yet the driver rear tire sits just below. Both air bags are deflated, so the coach is lowered.

I remember from previous seasons that the coach would lower and rest so that both sides tucked behind the tire fender but the dealer says nothing is wrong. Maybe I remember incorrectly, but would like to hear if anyone experiences the same effect?

Thanks.

Just had the air bags serviced. I will try to get this right. The rear air bags ( GS only ) have separate valves, the front operate from the same valve. On my Crescendo I have the issue ( tire tuck ) on the front passenger side. The tech said this is not a very good design. He adjusted the suspension as far as he could, too far and you will tweak the frame to far. Now my C40K has the full wall slide w/ the galley in it on the passenger side. The tech said that the weight of the wall slide is part of the visual look of the tire tuck. No harm being done, just the way it was designed. Every thing works as it should. But I never dump the air anyway, just let it settle as it will. Peace and safe Travels.... D
