Is there an easy way to determine what rear end gear ratio came on a WH chassis?

Steve,
We could answer your question right away if you gave us your year, make, model and tire size.

According to current Workhorse specs, a W20 with 19.5 inch wheels has the 4.88 axle as standard and the 4.78 is optional. A W22 with 19.5 inch wheels always has the 4.78. There is a small chance it was different in 2003, but not too likely. I don't know how to determine whether one has the standard or optional axle on a W20, but it is probably listed somewhere on the rig.

See W-series specs
