I had that powertrain in an 31 ft Pace Arrow. In the west, with the grades I normally encounter, make that gear change would not have worked, w/o a major increase in torque and horsepower. That was without a toad. As pointed out by others, you will end up running in 2nd enough that the net MPG gain may very well be negative.

Going from 4.56 to 3.73's is a big change, if you are mainly in flat country, 4.10's might work, and help on milage. Probably never pay for the gear set though.
BTW, I averaged overall about 7.0 mpg with that MH. Had a high of 8.0 on one leg of a long trip, with a tailwind, and no uphill grades. Curent motorhome is 6 ft longer, weighs about 5000 lbs more, and gets better milage, 7.39 to 7.94 average for trips of about 2000 miles. People knock the Workhorse and 8.1, but it has come a long way from that 454 3 speed.
