I have an '01 Winnebago WHC P32. Need help in identifying a good replacement for what's pictured below. I had just weighed the coach and am at 11720# on the rear axle. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

They are just rubber bumpers and they only come into play when overloaded or hit a large bump. They just keep the spring from going metal to metal. They look OK to me.

The jounce bumper should be flat across the bottom and in your 1st picture it would appear that there is a diagonal break in the bumper. You can order these from any Workhorse service centrer and you can pick them up.

i was looking at the hd truck sumo spring, similar enough suspension to what the op has that it may fit. gotta measure for sure. kinda pricy though.
i thought that the workhorse hd springs that i installed in my moho were pricy at $75 each.

DAN L., That said; I don't expect that the stock bumper(s) will cost much less!

I'd suggest that the OP call some of the best guys that know all about this type of issue. Jon at Brazels or Keith at Redlands can give the inquiring person (OP) good insight on what will work and what would be better.

The call might cost next to nothing an effective solution could be priceless.

Thanks for the info Dan & Driver. I'm curious if the sumo spring, although intended for the front end, can be used in the rear. I wonder what the dimensions are and what loads they can withstand.... i'll have to do some research

check the truck listing for rear sumo spring installation.

from your picture, the "gap'' between your steel parts looks similar to the gap in my parts.
the workhorse suspension on my moho uses polyurethane ''like air'' auxiliary springs. the workhorse aux. springs are 3.662'' tall and come in several stiffnesses, densities. they are hollow inside.
sumo springs are solid polyurethane, not hollow. they come in different weight ratings. i do not know if the heights are different.
the aux springs touch the leaf spring bearing point lightly when my moho is stationary.
i replaced my rear suspension aux. springs with the 15k# springs from workhorse for $75 each, pn w0002863. this installation made a big improvement in sway entering and exiting driveways and did not adversely affect the ride.
i installed an ultratrac rear track bar from brazels at the same time. i installed the koni shocks about 6 months prior to installing the new aux springs and track bar.
i find that making improvements 1 at a time helps me evaluate the effectiveness of each improvement.
i will be installing a hellwig front sway bar soon and will be using the aux. springs that i removed from the rear, w0002002, in the front for a 9k# axle rating. if the ride deteriorates, i can easily reinstall the original aux. springs.
the aux. springs have a stud in them that mounts through the upper mount with a self locking nut.
you may have to drill a hole in your upper mount for this stud to go through.
the stud is too long to get a deep socket on, so the self locking nut got replaced with a washer, lock washer and a regular nut. i used a strap wrench to turn the aux springs after breaking the self locking nut loose.
the workhorse aux. springs are hollow inside and are different densities for different weight ratings. they are all 3.622'' tall.

imho, if your suspension gap is sufficient, the 12k workhorse aux. spring pn w000459 would be an improvement for your moho. sumo springs would also be an improvement if the gap is sufficient. sumo springs were not available when i replaced my rear aux springs about 3 years ago.

my info comes from the WORKHORSE GAS MOTORHOME CHASSIS GUIDE, july 2006 edition.
the front suspension info is on page 21 and the rear suspension info is on page 31.
i believe that there is a ''sticky'' for this manual in irv2 somewhere. if you cannot find it, ask driver.

i am sorry that this post is so long, but you seem really interested in improving your suspension (as i am) and not just replacing parts. i hope my research and experience will be of some help to you.

driver,
you are welcome.
if the op is still interested in aux springs or sumo springs, i will ask my dw to take pictures of the wh aux springs that i removed from my rear axle.
from the op's pictures, i cannot tell for sure if his suspension is loaded or unloaded. i think unloaded.

what happens when you click on the thanks button?

Dan, What happens is that it builds your reputation quotient and this is observed in your profile. If you look at the graphic below you will see 3 small "Green" squares ... this is your credibility quotient or trust factor..

If you float your mouse cursor over these green squares you will see that your quotient is that you are "A jewel in the rough"

Click on the screen name to bring up the person's profile and hover the mouse over the green squares above the post count (campfires) for a description. Note that the graphic below will not show a quotient it's only a snap shot.

Dan,

Thanks for that info!! I've not been able to continue on the rear end as of yet. I had just got my a/c parts in and put all that back together. Now she's blowing cold air for sure.

As far as your question about my suspension being loaded or unloaded. The mh is loaded up with everything w/exception of the water tank being empty. So in that regards, I'd say the suspension is loaded.

I'll have to contact my local WH parts for the rear spring

you are welcome,
what i meant about ''loaded'' was is your moho on jacks or is the weight on the wheels when you took the pictures?
the pics here of my moho's front suspension is with the moho on jacks, or unloaded.
contrary to what i stated before, the front aux springs on my moho are longer than the rear suspension aux springs, 5.196''. my front axle is rated for 7500#.
here are some pics of the rear aux springs that i removed, rated at 13,500#. i installed 15,500# rated aux springs.
