As many of you know I can't leave anything alone for very long. So after I installed the front UltraTrac bar I decided to upgrade the rear DIY version to UltraTrac.

I spent about an hour removing the DIY version. The only problems I found were the bolts that hold the bar on could have been torqued a bit higher and there was a slight deflection in one of the urethane bushings.

What's in the box?

Note - There are 2 Deferential Brackets - 1 standard and 1 metric.

Install the frame bracket.

Install the deferential bracket.

Install the rod assembly

I see where the UrtraTrac comes already bridged to a fastener location on the top of the banjo similair to the re-bar that I had to add to my blue bar.

I don't know if the new UltraTrac rear track bar will improve on the DIY however the commercial bar is so much more robust and it has a nice paint job. Let us know if you feel any difference.

My you have been busy!

I think 2 things would have helped the original DIY bar setup.

1) Use the 5/8" bolt instead of the 1/2"

2)Add a fender washer on both sides of the urethane bushing.

Could you expand & clarify this? I also have a 2003 38G with a rear TracBar. Is this what you added re-bar to (& why/how). Maybe need a PM?

Thudman, Henderson's came out with an improvement to their rear trac bar. It was sent out free to those that had their original bar. It bolts on to the differential bracket and "bridges" across to the differential. Bassically it's an additional brace attached to the differential and differential bracket. If you have a Henderson's Super Steer Rear Trac Bar and haven't received any thing from them about this you should contact them and find out about it.
