Rear Wheel Bearings

Might be a good idea to have your rear wheel bearings checked when you have the brake recall done. I had a left rear wheel bearing come apart in the middle of Montana in July. Cost us three days of our trip to have repaired in Helena, Montana.

rickandcheryl, If they pull the rotors to resurface or install new ones I'm sure that they will see any problems with the bearings. OTOH, folks should consider it but it'll probably add an hour or more of labor plus supplies to the bill. Good idea though, I had not thought about that.

Driver,

Do you have any idea why my reply's to the WH brake recall are not being posted? They have replaced the entire brake system twice and have never charged me a cent.
