Rear wheel stud length

I have a 2003 w22 with 22.5 wheels-- need to know the stud length for dual aluminum wheels or the stock length -- it has a steel and alum from the factory -- I have a mounted spare -- just want make it safe!

Stud length should be the same, but the torque on those is 450-475. How due you plan on changing them if you get a flat on the road. That is why there are no more spares from the factory... Extra weight, and no practical way for an owner to change a tire. Even assuming that it is not a blow out which happens most of the time, and takes half the side of the coach with it!! Been there, done that and have 2 T shirts. Jim

When I checked to put on the inner aluminum wheel there was not enough shoulder with the hub centric design to allow for centering two aluminum wheels.

Yeah, could be!! Aluminum wheels are only for the outside. Never have seen those on an inner wheel, now that I think about it. You probably have more to think about beside stud length. I don't think you can make them "center" due to the way they are made. For sure you need spacer cause aluminum to aluminum won't work for sure. Jim

Just check last week, hub with the steel and aluminum wheel on I have about 5/8" on the hub centric sticking out past the wheel ---The studs are not long enough about 1/8 " past nut---- might just do the aluminum only and if steel wheel tire goes flat have road service take off rim and change out.

Maybe 03 is different than 06?

It was my original intention to just change the studs out then, as I recall there was a very thin lip left but not enough that I ever would have chanced it.

Another question do you have 19.5 or 22.5 wheels? I have the 22.5 and I would not mind changing out the hubs to a different style to have the inner aluminum wheels.

This shows the outer dual installed backwards to show the lip left

This shows them mounted with no lip left with one steel and one aluminum
