Driver (Mike)
I received a recall notice for my UFO that I think is in error. It is campaign 61101, regarding the unused fuel filler on the optional 75 gallon dual fill tanks. I have a 100 gallon fuel tank on my chassis. How do I get the campaign cleared if it is an error?
Thanx

I have not found information on the 61101 as a recall, campaign or TSB. It must be really new. You can clear this campaign just like any other by going to a service center. IF you got the letter, I expect they would want to verify the fuel system is absent the dual fill option that you may have on your 100 gallon tank. I know you wrote that the letter said 75 gallon however there maybe something there to look at.
Some owners have reported a degeneration of the plug cover on the optional dual fill port. This was observed as cracks with the possibility or actually leaking of gasoline or venting gasoline vapors.
Just go and have it checked out when you have the time.

Thanx Mike
I called the local Workhorse repair facility and they said they don't have any info on the recall either. I will wait a couple of weeks and follow up with them.

YOu visit an authorized service center, they inspect your rig to insure it does not apply and they enter the command into the computer to clear it.
While you are there you can get routine stuff (IE: Oil change) done
On my gas rig.. I found the service center I visited was cheaper (by 40 percent) than the next lowest oil change price I found.
Sadly.. They are no longer in business.. And I need to find a service center that can do my brake recall.

I am not due for service right now so the recall will have to wait. I', not going to take the MH out of storage just for the recall. My local service center charges $175 for the oil change and lube so I try to find a better price when I can.

Thanx Jon, the form I got only mentions the 75 gallon tank. I will get it taken care of as soon as the local center receives the parts.
