I finally found out why my gas mileage dropped this year on vacation.

I have been going up hill all the time and didn't even know it

I took the MH in for a front end alignment check, since we encountered so many rough roads this year on vacation, and they discovered that I had a broken right rear spring.

Now that I'm on the level I hope my gas mileage improves.

Ron

That is the reason I put airbags on the rear of my previous MH. I just inflated them to the max and was always going downhill.

On my way up here I saw a Fleetwood Southwind that passed me at a high rate of speed and for the life of me his rear looked like it was almost 6 or more inches higher than his front. That's a lot of difference in pitch when you're going 70. After he passed me, I saw that the vehicle was also leaning to the right as well.

I'm still trying to figure out why the speed limit is the same for RV's and Semi's, as it is for sports cars. I think that anything having more than 4 wheels should be going at least 10mph slower, unless they can prove that their stopping and cornering ability is as good as a BMW or Corvette. As I said before, the only reason I drive at 51mph is to stay within the min. speed laws, which could still be a problem in some areas of the country nowadays.
We don't even have to stop, to smell the roses while going down the road in our apartment.
Got off the subject matter a bit here, but like to get in when the opportunity presents itself......lol

Here in Michigan we raised our minimum speed to 55 on many of our freeways a few years back. School buses can also go 60 and so can the trucks. I know I can be going 65 in my car and still get passed by the trucks.

You got that right and dump trucks seem to pass everything. I did notice the min speed increase while traveling through MI this summer. We came across from the west on RT 2 and then headed south over the Mackinaw bridge towards Florida and home. Don't really remember if there were any more states with the double nickel min during our 9K+ trip, though.
