My digital dash screen on 2005 Vacationer with 14,000 miles, is fading out. Called Workhorse, said under warranty, take to WH dealership, would take a few days repair & I would have to leave coach. I am full time (live in my coach) have a 30hr week job & a widow. Nearest WH svc center in Shreveport,126 miles one way. WH svc center advised I could not stay with coach & part to be repaired would be sent off for repair which might take two weeks. I figure with gas there & back $138 - motel $840 - food $150 - not counting lost wages, a total of $1138.00. 2nd call to Workhorse they were not sure if screen is under warranty. Why do we get so many different stories!! What are my options if I take to GM dealership. On one of my phone calls I was told if not a workhorse center, they might not have correct tools to do the job. Any thoughts or help on this issue would be greatly appreciated as I am suppose to leave for Ohio next month to care for Aunt who is starting on radiation for cancer. Also is there any danger in driving coach without being able to see screen clearly?

I don't think that anything on the IP is going to ground you and keep you from traveling. Your IP is still under warranty. I would look for a service center along the way that can accommodate you. It doesn't take 2 weeks to turn around an IP. It can be done a lot quicker than that.

I would call Workhorse and explain the situation and ask them for guidance in the matter. Each service center has their own challenges some are more severe than others.

The IP does have to be sent away to have the mileage dialed back in and certified. That's a Fed thing.

Tools? I believe the most severe tool is a socket and perhaps a screw driver. They don't need no stinkin' special tools!

Hello from Cape Hatteras direct from the Camp Hatteras campground. It's pretty nice here - all cement sites and full hookups including CATV! Verizon & air card working at approximately 4 bars on everything!
