I need to replace my mufflers on my 2006 W20 with 8.1L. 58K miles. One of the mufflers has a chunk of rust missing and scaling along the bottom. The rest of the exhaust is fine. I can weld the hanger rods on the new muffler and reuse the tailpipes. I am looking for direct replacement or only slightly louder. Has anyone used Magnaflow, Dynamax, or Walker?

No I have not but if you take a look on the Brazels RV website they have replacement mufflers for Workhorse.

Dynomax is a division of Walker which is owned by Tenneco. Walker does more replacement mufflers, but they also have a heavy equipment division that does make an RV specific muffler. Problem is most places dont stock them and they cost a lot more then a standard performance muffler. Also the Walker RV muffler is very, very long, which is how they can gain performance, yet still keep them quite.
Since you dont want to have to modify the exhaust and just want to replace the mufflers I would skip the Walker RV muffler.
I have used Dynomax products on my trucks and off road toys. So when I changed my mufflers on my 8.1 I talked with the Dynomax techs and a local RV and performance shop. What I chose was the Dynomax Super Turbo. You will get better then stock performance, but it will still be quite. It will have a better tone then what the stock muffler has, but wont drive you nuts going down the road.
What you will want to do is find the longest muffler that will fit in your location. The longer the muffler the quieter it will be. Two good mufflers to look at would be the Dynomax Super Turbo PN# 17769 or the Ultra Flow PN# 17233. Both of these are 3 inch inlet and outlet and have a 20 inch shell length. The Ultra Flow will have a little better flow vs the Turbo, but you will also get an increase in sound too.
Dynomax also has a limited lifetime warranty, so as long as you are the original purchaser they will warranty the muffler for as long as you own the RV.

i bought 2 stainless steel 3'' aero turbine oval 503 mufflers with a resonating section in the front part of the muffler from brazels in centralia along with their bolt on adapter flange and installed them myself in june 2010. they are a little louder than stock when accelerating or decelerating but not in cruise.
my dw and i am happy with them. my dw does not like the very low frequency tone of flowmasters.
aero's website has changed. it looks like they may have been bought by hooker. ebay sells them now.
my mufflers are similar to those on this website:
Automotive Stealth Muffler products, buy Automotive Stealth Muffler products from alibaba.com

Here is a good thread about the Stainless Steel Magnaflow mufflers that I have installed (with pics). Several Workhorse Chassis owners have installed these mufflers with much success including Dar, above.

I just installed the Magnaflow 12589 mufflers on my 07 W24 Chassis using the original hangers and tail pipes. In addition I added Magnaflow Stainless Tips. You will also need two Flange Gaskets available from Workhorse for $10 each.
I purchased the mufflers from Amazon.com for $100 each. (Tips were $20 each also from Amazon)
So far I am very happy with the new exhaust system, when you put your foot in it the big V8 sounds nice!
I did all of the work myself it took about 4 hours, a Mig Welder, and a Saws-all.
In my opinion this is a modification worth doing.

For what it is worth...
I have a 2005 Tiffin on a W20. Last year while getting a vehicle inspection renewal the tech said that my mufflers were rusting through. I looked and sure enough I saw rust.
I took my coach to a muffler shop for replacements. They seemed surprised that I would need replacements because of the year and mileage. When they looked under the coach they explained that the part that was rusted was only the heat shield that surrounded the actual muffler. Mufflers were fine, they saved me a lot of money.
