The story begins with a trip to Florida to pick up our 2008 Dolphin LX. Leaving the dealership on the Interstate I set the cruise on 70 mph. Soon everything on the road is flying by me. Next the computer shows I am averaging 11.5 mpg. I thought boy the new Allison is really something. With everything on the road still flying by, I ask my wife what speed the gps shows. Just ove 62 mph she replies. Then we check the odometer against the gps, the mileage is off by 10%. Returning to Texas I go to the Workhorse shop. It would take half a day to tell all of the attempts to reprogram working with both Workhorse and GM. After numerous downloads to update the programmers and the use of three different programmers it was decided to send the ecm to GM. No luck after two days of attempts to recalibrate. Turns out there is a glitch in the program that will not let them in to recalibrate the speedometer. The solution was to build a new computer with the correct tire size. Everything works fine now. They told me if you change tires, be absolutely sure you replace with EXACTLY the same diameter tire, as we cannot recalibrate. Another issue was the milage showing 10% excess. At 8000 actual miles I am showing 8800. I am sure Workhorse will be fair with me as they have done all they could do. This is something to think of if you are planning to change tires.

Not sure what the problem as with WSC and/or GM but with UltraPower it only takes about and hour to read, transmit, reprogram, receive the update and apply it to a customers coach.
As for speedo changes. On our way to the 06 IRV2 national rally we found that one of the guys speedo was 7 mph fast. When we installed UltraPower we dialed in -5 mph and installed it.
Now for the excess mileage... The Actia cluster can be clanged to what ever you want. I had my cluster replaced and the only thing needed was the mileage. When I installed (as a Brazels dealer) the mileage was exactly what I submitted.
Don't let the WSC or GM tell it can't be done.

Does changing the computer to Ultrapower void the warranty? This unit showed it was reprogramed at 11 miles with the wrong size tire. No one seems to know how that happened. All I know is for 2 weeks no one could do any thing with the stock computer. The coach was even taken to a GM dealer to see if they could reprogram it. No luck.

We need more info on your coach. Maybe you could update your profile to show year, make, model, length etc.
Does UltraPower void your warranty? Technically - NO. But WCC will say - YES and point you a a service bulletin that gives all kinds of reasons to void your warranty.
Who/Whom told you that at 11 miles the tire size was changed?

I truely wish you Ultrapower pushers would get your story straight. I have asked and asked about if this will void our warrantees, and have been assured that this won't.
I have been told by Mike at Brazels that if something happens to your engine and the Ultrapower is to be blamed, he will PAY for the repairs as he is insured.
WHAT IS THE STORY?
Good grief !!!!!

UltraPower Will not void your warranty.
I suggest that you go read the Service Bulletin post at the beginning of this forum and you see why WCC will say it does.
This gets into a finger pointing session between After Market products like UltraPower, Banks etc and WCC.
Now sit back relax and have a cold one.

My coach is a 2008 Dolphin LX 6367 W24. The diagnostic computer showed the 11 mile adjustment. Also, my coach is not the only one. It seems that WH and GM do not get along to well. WH also said their computer facility was 80% destroyed in a tornado and could not supply any computers. I feel very fortunate to have such a dedicated shop in Abilene, otherwise, the problem would still not be resolved.

My odometer has also read 10% slower than actual (mileage markers & gps). Can this be corrected under warranty? Would it be part of a UP purchase?
