Right Rear Outside

Right Rear Outside wheel has evidence of leak Oil/Grease ? radiating from edge of rim along outer tire outer wall.

2004 Winnebago Sightseer 35N 19.5 wheels.

Has anyone had this issue ?

What was the fix ?

Had Caliper inspection - something not reinstalled right ?

Thanks for any info./Ideas.

pace89, This is a common event that is seen when a leaking axle seal is observed (if it's on the outside of the tire). The fix is quite simple really. The weight is removed from the tires. Remove the hubcap. Revove the bolts on the center of the hub holding the axle. Using a Permatex product for the purpose a bead is laid between the axle and the hub. The axle is restored and tightened. This fixes the problem in perhaps 99% of the cases involving the leak that you are describing. The fix will most often take about 15 minutes.

You will also want to check the level of the fluid in the differential when your finished. It should be even with the bottom of the fill hole on the differential housing.

When they repaired my rear brakes the mech put a very thin clear plastic seal on mine. I dont know if it would apply to yours or not. I thought he said it was there to prevent leaks but I could be remembering it wrong.

Yes that thin clear seal is what that is for but they don't always do a great job of completely sealing up. What DriVer explained to do is correct.
