Has anyone installed a Safe T Plus on their Workhorse Chassis? and did it help the steering? I already have a Henderson rear trac bar. My steering is not so bad but I do have to constantly correct. The wheel alignment is good.

A trac bar on the front would be what you need to start with...if you additional correction than maybe a Sate T Plus or Steer Safe.

Also try reducing psi in front tires...not below your weights though!

ron55, If you're sure about that OK. I have both an STP and a front track bar. It has reduced my steering input from where it was. Both the STP and track bar work as a system, one piece compliments the other.

Put on a safe-t-plus stabilizer on our w-20 chassis four years ago. Wouldn't leave home without it. The RV is very stable now. Before it was installed, the rig moved quite a bit in high winds and when trucks blew by. Now these influences are minimal. I may also install a rear trac bar in the future when I have enough pennies. However, our motorhome doesn't really have a "tail wag the dog" problem, I still hear that they make a big difference.

Ron, Please contact our sponsor, Brazel's RV Performance and they will introduce you to their line of UltraTrack suspension products. Call and speak with Jon or Mike at Brazels. They will hook you up! ..... and you can DIY.

ron 55,

Adding a front trac bar will also help steering as it prevents the side to side movement by tieing the front axle, laterally, to the frame as does the rear trac bar. Made a big difference in the steering on my MH. I have a Davis TruTrac in the front and a Henderson Super Steer tracbar in the rear.

I also use an F&R track bar and an STP.

One handed effortless steering all day long.

Thats the best info you received yet. Before you just start throwing parts on check all steering componets for play. Get a helper while you go under front end with a brite lite with steering wheel in unlocked position have your helper turn the wheel from left to right a good full turn and keep doing it while you look for any play in any of the front end parts

The first thing I did after my first trip was install the SteerSafe system. I think it's the best thing going
