Got the actual letter from WH to do the brake recall. Letter said to go to the website to locate a dealer. I typed in:

http://www.workhorse.com/brakeresourcecenter ,

guess what? It DOESN'T WORK. Big surprise.

Thanks, Driver, I don't get paid to think, I get paid to react.

The "server" gave me an error page I have never seen before. I have been waiting now for 5 minutes to see it again.

Update: it is up now.

When I couldn't go on line, I called the 877 number and got rerouted to another number which I gave up on after it rang 25 times with no answer. When I called the nice girl at ERS, she said they were swamped.

So I called my local WH Service Center (a couple of years ago when the fuel filter was all the rage, I went there with a fuel filter, which the parts man asked me "what is it?" and when I told them, the service manager said "we don't do much of that kind of work").

Do I want this place working on my brakes???

They were tentatively booking brake recalls for ten weeks from now. They said no calipers in stock, were expecting some in 4 to 6 weeks.

Yeah, I think I'd be looking for another WH Service Center.

If you're in the San Jose, Ca area give Leale's a call - I got an appointment for Oct 6 with no problems at all. They do great work too.

Welive in upstate NY, where we spend the summer. I have had very good service at Carl Black Chevrolet in Nashville. I am going to try for them in November.
