i want to use my ScanGuage but haven't been able to find the OBD connector. I;m hoping some of you may have knowledge of it's location.

It should be on the left side of the steering column under the dash.
Note - It may have a cover on it.

You may be interested in the AutoTap. The AutoTap is very, very comprehensive. It will read many more parameters than a ScanGuage.
I had one but returned it and bought a ScanGuage. I didn't want to use a laptop while driving.
There is an iRV2 member that uses the AutoTap and hopefully he'll respond with his experiences.

The worse weather we've had in 8 winters here. Pool has been covered for a month. If weather was this cold our first year here I would have situated 100 miles further south. Stop if you're in the area. You know where we are.

I use the Autotap scanner with my Macmini running Fusion and Windows XP. The display is a 17 inch wide screen monitor mounted up under the driverside overhead cabinet where a sunvisor might be located. You can display any measurable parameter the scannerrecognizes at the OBD2 port in a gauge format Go here http://www.irv2.com/attachments/phot...7/IMG_8170.jpg and here http://www.irv2.com/attachments/phot..._dashboard.jpg
You should be able to do same with a laptop and an external monitor connection.
Also display map and GPS on same monitor for navigation details. When parked, this makes for a convenient office tool. While driving it makes for a heads up virtual dash boar display I think is safer to use then glancing down at the real dash. JMO

The Autotap looks like a like a very powerful program. I have looked at mounting a touch screen computer monitor that would lower down from the space from the old TV that was replaced with a flat screen. That is a pretty price tag for that project so for now it looks like the scan gauge will have to do for the info center. We currently just use a laptop for the navigation with streets & trips. Thanks JP

My next RV TV will be a front mounted flat screen TV and it will have an HDMI input. If I ran an app like Auto Tap on my HP laptop, I could run it on the LCD using the HDMI cable. Now that would be something for all to see!
Wondering what S&T will look like on a 32" LCD?

You may want to consider the cost of Autotap.. it's not cheap. $200 for the base and another $100 for the enhanced PID's and you will need the enhanced PID's to display the Allison 6sp tranny temp. You now have $300 invested and this does not include the laptop or TV if you plan an upgrade.

Dale, I'll probably continue to use the scanning software I have. It works and does what I need it to do. Would be nice though to have all those meters. It looks great anyway!
