Have had two caliper failures, right side replaced in march of 08(fully reimbursed including rotors), left front replaced in Nov of 09(no charge).

Made it home(2 day 650 mile trip) without incident yesterday PRAYING all the way from 4 month winter stay in Mission, TX. By-passed metro freeways and most of the trip was flatland, also made numberous close inspections of that old orig. left rear caliper.

My PUCKER STRING worked on this trip just like it did back in the 50's when I was a jet fighter pilot. Sure will be nice when we get the new calipers.

R&A,

I talked with Workhorse about this problem last week and was informed by a very nice lady that they now have the fix in testing and if all goes as planned it should be released by engineering and approved by the NTSB before the end of the year. They can then start completing the recalls and installing the fix.

I feel your pain! Coming from the aircraft industry and being required to deal with vendors who are 3rd tier I can be a little sympathetic to Workhorse on this one.
By the time the fix goes from whoever Bosch gets the parts from to Bosch to Workhorse nothing happens fast. Knowing each of these organizations is gong to have their engineers evaluate the drawings and each will have to complete their own series of product tests. THEN the lawyers get involved.

We had a saying that the job was never complete until the stack of paperwork was at least as tall as and weighed as much as the aircraft!
