I don't have access to my motorhome at the moment, and not sure if I'd know what I was looking at anyway.

Does the Itasca motorhome on a W20 chassis have a rear axle shock casting separate from lower u-bolt clamp or an integral rear axle shock bracket and lower u-bolt clamp? Not sure which Hellwig products, front and rear, I should look at in the Hellwig catalog.

Thank you, -RT

RT, The shock absorbers on the W20 changed in 2004. 2001-2003 were bottom stud shocks where as later models were using through bolts on the bottom of the shock but I could be mistaken. Call Jon at Brazels RV Performance or Keith at Redlands and they will help you sort through it.

If you call Hellwig they will also know which product you need. All they need is year, make and model.

Thanks for the reply Driver. I should have stated that my Itasca is a 2005 chassis.

Just had four new Koni FSD's installed on my 04 W-20. It's a 2004 chassis but I learned that some of them took the instal of the Koni's easily while some didn't. It seemed that 04 was a transition year regarding the mounting of shocks. The first set of rears did not fit and the shop had to order different one's. My problem may not affect your particular chassis and probably will not. Like RTegarini said, give Jon Brazel a call.

I called Hellwig customer support, but wasn't able to get any answers regarding which rear suspension is on my Itasca W20 chassis, and cannot send them a photo for them to review.

Here are a couple of pictures; can anyone tell me if this is a 'separate' or 'integral' rear axle shock bracket and lower u-bolt clamp?

I'd really appreciate the help in clarifying the rear suspension.

Thank you. -RT
