Serrano cruise control issue

We just purchased a 2011 Four Winds Serrano (W20D Workhorse Chassis). Ever since we purchased the coach, the cruise control does not work. Even when I turn the switch on, the dashboard indicator light never comes on. We just had the brake recall done, and the technician said he didn't have the software to troubleshoot the issue. Neither does several other Workhorse/International dealers near us.

Any suggestions?

It's a 99% chance your brake light switch is out of adjustment. It would be located somewhere near the break pedal arm. On the W22 chassis it is avery flimsy switch and you may have to move it around a little. This has happened to me. If that's not it, then it is something else in the brake light circuit such as light bulb or fuse. Do your brake lights work properly?

As far as I can tell, the brake lights are working properly. We'll take another look tonight. I'll also check the brake light switch. Is there an adjustment for the switch?

this really does not present as a software issue. If you bring your vehicle to a facility that has a Tech II testing instrument they should be able to diagnose any problem with your rig. It is required that all service centers have a Tech II.

I don't buy that they can't fix your cruise control issue. Tell them to fix the problem or get a hold of the Regional Service Manager.

As suggested, the resolution could be as simple as adjusting the brake light switch however it could be something else.
