I was logging into the " accessfreightliner " website to check on some parts. I see where they have a new software up & running. It looks totally different, & works with newer versions of Windows.

Check it out if you are setup with them!

The front shocks are one SKU and the rear shocks are a second SKU however both SKUs will fit a W20 or a W24.

I can find the part numbers for front and rear shocks from Bilstein; can you provide the Workhorse Chassis Corporation part numbers?

Also, is there a website that provides WCC part numbers for various replacement parts when searching for replacement parts? It would be very helpful if there is a source that allows you to verify WCC part numbers on things such as shocks, rubber bushings, fuel filters, etc. I've done numerous searches on Google and here and don't seem to be able to come up with pretty basic info that I'm sure is here somewhere.

Thank you. -RT

EDIT: Looking around the WCC website, I found Bilstein shock information. Hopefully someone has links to other websites that would offer other WCC part numbers on other parts.

Bilstein Shocks - W0005662
Bilstein Shocks - W8001338 - each (build date 5/2004 and before)
Bilstein Shocks - W0005663 - each (build date after 5/2004)

Bilstein Shocks - W0005662 - (FRONT) same
Bilstein Shocks - W8001338 - each (build date 5/2004 and before)
Bilstein Shocks - W0005663 - each (build date after 5/2004)
Those are the number(s) ....

I am not sure if those numbers reference the OE shock (specification) or the aftermarket Bilstein shock which are different according to vendors that I know. The aftermarket Bilstein reportedly has different valving and appears to ride more comfortably.

If there are two sets, one OEM and one aftermarket, I'll guess these are OEM since the numbers are listed at the WCC website.

Can you reference these numbers to what Workhorse Chassis and model-years these fit?

W0009997

Thank you. -RT

RT,
Your right. The OEM Bilstein Gas Shocks are:
Front Shocks - W0005662
Rear Shocks (build date 5/2004 & before) - W8001338
Rear Shocks (build date after 5/2004) - W0005663
I've got a "almost new" set (2 front & 2 rear) OEM Belsteins, W0005662 & W0005663 for sale cheap.

DriVer;

Saw these listed in an ad, stating that they 'fit all Workhorse', which we know can't be true. I have no idea what they might fit; was hoping that someone here might know, but I know they don't fit a 2005 Itasca W20, based on the WCC website and I looked at mine. The numbers listed at the WCC website match what's on my chassis.

Front: W0005662
Rear: W0005663

If anyone can reference the W0009997 for model fitment and could use them, I'll post a link to that ad. (Not my ad / do not know seller.) -RT

RT, I did a little Googling and I have found that the titles mention Chevy/Workhorse. These are P32 rear shock absorbers. Final answer.

Thanks, DriVer. While they don't fit my chassis, could you tell me what model-years they would fit? I appreciate all the help.

Anyone have web-links to Workhorse part numbers so we could cross-reference these on our own? I did find a web page with a ton of part numbers and descriptions, but it didn't allow you to search by part number or part name, so you have to scroll through 35 or so pages. I'd like to find a .pdf that is searchable.

Thank you. -RT

RT, To the best of my knowledge, the rear shocks on the WCC P Series are all the same however that might change depending on the GVW. There were a number of different GVWR early on but as soon as the "Wide Track" came into play in 2001, those shocks were the same from 01 to 05 when the P series was retired. the Wide Track was an 18,000 Lb. GVWR chassis.

Old thread, but this might be helpful for someone in the future cross-referencing Bilstein numbers. I've come up with these part numbers for a 2005 W20/22 chassis. Please feel free to correct any information that would better clarify my part numbers, and maybe DriVer could clarify the applicable model-years.

Front Bilstein shocks:
24-153249 - Bilstein, current part number
F4-BE5-F324-HO - Bilstein, old part number
W0005662 - Workhorse part number

Rear Bilstein shocks:
24-153256 - Bilstein, current part number
F4-BE5-F325-HO - Bilstein, old part number
W0005663 - Workhorse part number

Thank you, -RT
