I have discovered that the bedroom slideout is creeping out from 1 to 4 inches while in storage between the times I check on it about every two weeks.
I run it back in and then turn off everything including all the battery switches. Next check it has creeped out again. It is parked on level ground.
My Workhorse shop called HWH and they advised him that they were sending a new solonoid valve and an unloading valve, that this will solve the problem.
The HWH warranty is for two years and is just now expiring. I hope this solves the problem. I will post if the problem continues.

? Why did you take this to a WCC service when this is not a chassis problem. But a Rexall problem. The coach builder install the slides.

Because Leale RV in San Jose, CA does warranty work for most of the major manufacturers, including Workhorse, and also HWH, etc.
This is my one stop shop.

One stop shopping is a good thing and basically Workhorse was the originator of the concept because they wanted to make it easier for their customers to both get coach and chassis service in the same location.

Bill,

The parts/labor warranty is 2 years, but I believe the parts extends to 3 years. At least it did in my case when I had a selonoid replaced in March on my LR slide. I only had to pay labor. My inservice date is Jan 2004.

I also found that my slides have a better chance of staying in or out if I activate my battery boost switch when I put them in or out. You can hear a difinate increase in pump speed.

The boost switch is a mechanical magnetic contactor type switch that when thrown will push a transient spike through your electrical system that could be damaging to electronic equipment.

I would temper my enthusiasm to use the boost switch and check to make sure your battery is fully changed and up to snuff. The primary battery should be sufficient to activate your slideouts without using the coach batteries.

Driver, you may be right, but I am of a different opinion.

The coach battery disconnect switch is of the same type, & I haven't damaged anything on the coach side when I use it. Also, the converter relay is of the same type, & I haven't damaged anything in the coach when I disconnected shore power.

I have my engine turned off when I use the boost switch with the slides. I would think the chassis battery would be the first receiptient of any spike. This spike should not be any more than when you replace your chassis battery.

But then again, I've been wrong before. Just ask Sharon

I have only used the boost swith for its intended deisgn. That is to give you 12 V to start a dead or weak chassis battery for the engine.

I actuate the slides with the engine running then I have plenty of power for the hydraulic system.

Ok, I will quote from my Owners manual, page 2-19, section dealing with "If The Slideout Will Not Operate (Troubleshooting)"

QUOTE
The chassis battery may be low on charge. Press the Battery Boost switch on the dash to the on position while pressing the slideout power switch. This momentarily connects the coach batteries to assist in retracting the room.

UPDATE ON THE CREEP PROBLEM THAT I started this thread with.
Leale RV contacted HWH about the problem and they sent them replacement solonoid and spool assys for the EXTEND and RETRACT valves for the rear slides. As we looked at them we noted they were different. The new ones have a screen and a couple of teflon seals on each side of the port in the spool.
They have been installed and I picked up the motorhome today. I will be gone for a three day trip Friday but then it will go back to storage and I will check it every few days to see if the Bedroom slide is creeping out again. HWH did take care of this under their warrant, so no charge to me.

Today I went to the storage yard and checked the motorhome after it had been parked there since sunday noon.
The bedroom slide was still in all the way It would appear that the work described above resolved the problem. I got the impression that HWH knew about this problem when they were called for info.
there was never any problem with the living room slide out.
Best to all,
Bebop
