I am unable to find what spark plugs are in my 8.1 I know they would be AC plugs but I would like to use NGK. If some one can tell me the numbers I sure would be great full. Thank You

NGK equivalent for a AC Delco 41-101 is NGK 7164

NGK IX Iridium/Spark Plug (7164) | AutoZone.com

Or you can a set of (8) AC Delco 41-101 from Oemy for $52

For what it's worth I've never had any good luck with using anything other than the OEM spark plugs that came with the vehicle originally.

Just a thought.

Something must be wrong with my OEM Workhorse sparkplugs and wires. They are nine years old, and have around 47K miles on them, without a missfire. I still get 7.6 mpg (last tank) in the motorhome, and it runs as well now as it did the day I drove it home from the dealer. I have been carrying a set of the older AC sparkplugs, (don't remember the designation number) purchased from Omey's in the onboard parts toolbox. I may have to spray them with some WD-40 to prevent rusting. What is Iridium?

Iridium is simply explained as; the God given right to charge folks too much for spark plugs and have them enjoy it while they're paying for it.

Good one.
My OEMs (in a 454) are still doing fine at 42K miles. I was going to replace them a couple years ago but someone on this site had a saying in their signature 'If it ain't broke, fix it until it is.' So, with these words of warning in mind I left it as is.

Iridium is space dust caused by exploding meteorites. Probably not enough on earth to make a set of sparkplugs . Tony
