Starter Solenoid replacement FYI W22

Went out to start the RV up and run the gen set today, well, had a no start, with dash lights on, tried a couple of times, no go.

Went underneath to look at starter, well on the starter solenoid, the small wire, was corroded, rust all over the bolt, I was thinking should be an easy fix, just clean the connections, easy peasy right? So disconnected the battery and while turning the nut to disconnect the small wire, the stud broke off of the solenoid.

Small nut on solenoid 8mm
Large nut on solenoid 14mm

I have a spare solenoid, so I dropped the starter, oh wow, who put those little torx heads on to connect solenoid to the starter, and who in the hell has a small torx socket. What, and on the heat shield as well?, this isn't a Jeep.

So after going through some tools, I found out that a 4mm 6 point deep well will do the job. I did spray in down with some penetrating oil.

So with everything replaced, and cleaning the 3 wires that connect to the starter as is well.

Just wanted to get the info out on the 4mm deepwell socket working, so your not driving around town trying to find one.

I do have a question, I snugged up the starter bolts pretty good, but really would like to get a torque wrench on it.

Does anyone know the torque specs for the 2 starter mounting bolts.

Starter solenoids are $15 on amazon

Just a quick add to this really great write-up on the starter wiring care - for anyone else troubleshooting starter troubles don't forget to check your engine block ground strap for corrosion, or crimps/breaks.
