Hi/Help!!!

I have a unusual problem, my engine will not start- We campost doing volunteer work and have always started my gas engine periodically, 2004 Monaco w22, because we stay for several months in one location. I tried to start engine yesterday, after 2 months stay, and it appears not to be getting fuel. The batteries are strong and even tried using generator to help which did not help. The fuel tank is 95% full.

Anybody else have a simiiar problem?

Hi Bill,

Have you checked to see if the fuel pump is working. It could be a loose fuel pump wire or fuse. I wouldn't think it's the fuel filter. Sure going to miss you and Carole at the WCMC rally at Palm Desert next week. Let us know what the out come of the fuel problem is.

Bill, Not sure if you have checked fuses under hood, But I would start there. One marked fuel then others marked pcm etc. Also fuel pump relay is there. I think you should feel it engage when you turn the key to on position. Need a helper for that one.

Mike

Thanks for your suggestions, I have tried the fuel pump fuse, 20 amp, and it is good. I had Tech on phone from WH(CoachNet) and we tried to start with Generator and Acc Power with no luck. Unit turns over but is not getting gas.. Went to local WH Dealer, 45 miles away, and they had no additional help other than $600 tow bill, declined, will keep trying.

I would put a fuel pressure gauge on the schrader valve on the fuel rail. You should see 55 to 62 psi.

I have heard that if you bang on the bottom of the fuel tank sometimes it will get the sucker going enough to get you to someone who can work on it. I have also heard that once you get it running not to shut it off until you are where you want to be.
