2004 W20 Gas gauge always indicated the same since day one. Rig sat for almost 1/2 year with full tank. Took 2 trips in the last 3 weeks. At first I thought the gauge was sticking, way over 150 miles before it even moved. After it started moving down, it would move slightly up, very slowly, and then back down. Once when I came to a complete stop, the needle moved slowly up and down, only about a needle width, this is what made me think it was sticking. It only did this once on the first trip. On the second trip it did not oscillate at all, at least I didn't see it. On both trips I filled the tank 4 times and realized the gauge was reading approx 1/4 high each time. Like reading just under 3/4 when it normally would of read just under 1/2.

Any ideas?

Al

I think yours is like many others.

Faulty fuel readings - 08 W22

I just get used to it. When it reads 5/8 or 3/4 , I have about a 1/2 left. But it does feel good to go 125-150 miles before it even moves off full. My Chevy Blazer is the same way.

Max, the point is that it changed after almost 6 years. I can get used to anything with an rv and nothing surprises me anymore. Hoping Omny or Driver might have an idea.
