Hey Chris

That's a twin to my Destination except I have the full wall slide on the passenger side. I have 2 pictures just like that.

From time to time folks ask what needs to be checked on a coach that has sat for a long period, I always tell them to expect problems with the brakes, Perhaps not immed but soon.

Why? Well you said you have a plan and we'll see if it holds water.

That is, in fact, the problem.. Brake fluid is hydroscopic, It holds water.

We had a brand new Destination here in Myrtle Beach at Camper Country that sat on the lot for well over 2 years. In my discussions with those guys, they knew absolutely nothing about the vehilce and they were reluctant to talk about it due to past history with RGP motorhomes from 10 or more years ago.

Picked up the coach this morning and the brakes are working like a dream.

Thanks everyone for the advice as we worked through this.

Chris.

UFO 2008 Winnebage Destination
I probably will need as much background as I can get on this. If you can help please do so. History
October 2010 - Odometer reset back (approx 1000 miles)
July 2011 - Odometer reset back again
Contacted Workhorse, they said go to dealer
July 2011 - Display should an ABS Comm problem and I could not get out of Park. The computer had a flashing red light for brakes
Had the camper towed, they have had it a week and said I have a computer problem and they could not flash the computer with Workhorse direction.
Not clear at this point who pays for all this. Anyone else?

Hopefully you had it towed to a Workhorse ASC. They need to get in touch with their RSM and hopefully he can get you the fix you need.

hald12,

Please make sure that the tow truck operator follows this procedure exactly.

Releasing the Parking Brake on a UFO. (Prior to Towing)

Happened to me. Workhorse had to send a rep to my dealer with the software to program a new front ccm (chassis control module) which stores the information about the milage. Mine would reset back to a former number every time I turned off all the chassis batteries when in storage. Also as I pulled into the dealer for the work my brakes flashed and the WH rep immediately knew it was the Wabco/Meritor hydraulic compact unit which controls the parking brake, power brakes and abs etc. Check out my post on this older thread. http://www.irv2.com/forums/f22/ufo-c...tml#post716070

From what I have seen on the net, Wabco had a problem with clearances on these hydraulic control units and has extended the warranty on them. Do a google search. Many school buses have these brake systems.

Hi Hald12,

Not sure if we have the same underlying issue given the history you mentioned.

However, what I can recommend is contacting Workhorse via their "Submit a Question" page. Click here

After sending my question I had all the help I needed from Workhouse - and the problem was resolved as quickly as possible.

Chris.
