DO NOT DO THIS!
I waited way to long to cover my coach this year. So, on a recent cold windy day I went out and finished up the loose ends of winterizing. Done it a ton of times. Never a problem. Because I was puttzin around inside the coach I turned the furnace on one more time to take the chill off.
Felt kinda nice, just being inside the coach, nice and quite. Oh well, better get the cover on. Up on the roof I go. Carefully unrolled the winter cover like I have done many times as the wind was picking up a little. Anyne who uses covers will appreciate this. Once it is entirely unrolled you simply drape the side panels down over the sides. Then go down to ground level and clip all the wind straps. Sounds easy right? WELL.............! remember that furnace that I turned on one more time? Keep in mind that the funace has an exhaust right? On the side wall, right? You guessed it. In a split second I burned a whole through the covers side panel. Why it did not go up in flames I do not know. Maybe it is flame retardent One large hole is my stupid award of the year.

Not stupid at all. You were simply marking the spot where you cut out a neat square hole for the exhaust to vent safely.
Cut the hole clean and use fabric cement to cure the edges. Put on some Velcro pieces to hold it in place and you're good to go. The additional insulating qualities of the MH cover will make it easier to heat the unit after your wife kicks you out of the house.

Carefully enlarge the hole, and trim it, so it's the same size as the furnace panel (or perhaps a bit larger) and properly "Hemmed"
That way it will look like it belongs there

I guess the cover stretches better after you heat it up a little.

Would you be smart to do the water heater exhaust vent? How about the refrigerator vent? Maybe it would be easiest to shut off the propane at the tank before tarping!! Glad your still with us!!
