Suggestions on motor oil type and multi weight. for

Chev 460 with 32,000 miles. Only put 3,000 miles p/yr. I have always used 5-30 weight convention Castrol motor oil. Most use is when outside temp. is hot over 100 degrees. Would 10/30 be a better choice? Synthetic oil??

Hate to say this but you're confused on you engine size (460) is a Ford .
454 is the early Chevy size and later it developed into the 8.1 l. and I don't have the conversion handy for cu.in. and I don't know your coaches year.

OK then oil choice , personally if your changing the regular oil at the end of each season , with 3,000 miles, synthetic is just and added expense; and I'm not a fan of changing to synthetic on an engine with that number of miles. Going to synthetic at the first oil change OK, but not after.
5/30 vs 10/30 , most newer engines will have the rec-commendation on the oil filler cap, and the 5/30 is make sure the oil circulates quickly on cold start up.
Both grades of oil are formulated to perform the same at high temperatures, so if the cap says 5/30 stick with it.

10w30. Mobile 1 synthetic. Changed annually with filter at the end of season if going into storage and in your birthday month if used year round. IMHO.

10w-30 is the recommended oil for the 454 but as Skip says, it should be on your filler cap. Stick to good old fashioned mineral as synthetic has a way of finding places to leak from.

10w30 synthetic. I switched used Mobil 1 in previous and current MH, both with more miles than yours. No leaks. Syn oil withstands higher temps than dino. If you change oil once a year it may cost $20 more to use synthetic oil, is your MH engine worth it?

As mentioned, 454(7.4L) and 8.1L (496 CI) are Chevy/GM engines. 460 is Ford as well as the V10, 6.8L or 413 CI

I tend to not complicate things, and since you only drive it 3,000 miles a year, and change the oil at the end of the year/season use what is stated either on the oil filler cap or your owners manual. It doesn't sound like you really need to worry about cold starting temps, all oils are made to work in hot conditions, so go with a good quality "regular" oil.
