Tail pipe bend closing off part of exhaust, is this a serious problem
I had the motorhome lube service yesterday and they showed me the passenger side tail pipe that exits just aft of the door and is about a foot or less off the ground, has apparently hit something at some time. Consequently that bend that brings it to the outside of the coach is narrowed down to about half the pipe size which now exits the sdie about a foot further to the rear. It has never caused a problem yet, runs fine but what about back pressure affecting power or damaging the engine.
I need advice about getting this pipe replaced or not.
Most of the muffler shops I see are hole in the wall shops and no room for a big motorhome.
I guess those shops do gas welding so not a problem to unhook the electronics first. But it is right under the propane tank ?
thanks for any and all advice,
Bebop Bill Forrest
