First trip after recall fix on unused gas tank port, we had leaking right rear jack hose. In for service now (WH Authorized ctr and still under wty) and shop says hose was pinched at gas tank???? Was tank moved or dropped during recall fix? Just want to be informed in case we get tagged with repair bill.

ctpres, I'm not sure that anyone here can venture an answer to your question. It's not likely that you will get a repair bill for anything related to the fuel tank including the fuel lines since those are covered under emissions. The jack hose is not a WCC serviceable item and that might be billable since coach warranties are typically only for 1 year.

The shop that did mine said they have to lower some of the tanks. They didn't have to lower mine.

If the hose was pinched by dropping and reinstalling the tank then the shop that broke it should fix it.. Usually they want to get paid to fix their own mistakes but I'd consult with professional help (Attorney)
Now.. you mentioned a gas tank recall.. Tell me more please.. thanks.

The fuel system is covered by the emissions control warranty and if a fuel line is compromised in any way it needs to be replaced to comply with emissions. Not sure if an attorney can immediately replace a fuel line. Getting evidence as far as negligence about a dealer may be difficult to do. Better to get the line fixed and go camping.

The campaign is: 61101-C Replacement of Fuel Tank Fill Cap, Unused Fill Inlet on 75-and 100-Gallon Gasoline Fuel Tanks (Option Codes (SPID) NDF and NNB)
Workhorse Custom Chassis (Workhorse) has decided that a defect which relates to motor vehicle safety exists in certain W-series and R-series motorhome chassis built from February 5, 2007, through May 24, 2010, and equipped with either the 75-gallon or 100-gallon gasoline dual fill fuel tanks. The fuel-fill cap assemblies used to seal the unused fuel tank inlet was produced with a hose material that did not meet design specification. During normal usage the hose material may deteriorate which can result in a fuel leak. A fuel leak increases the risk of a fire which may result in property damage, personal injury, or death.
Find the SPID sheet on your motorhome, it's a 3 x 4 piece of paper with numerous 3 letter codes on it and look for the SPIDs listed above. If you have the SPID you may have that type of gas tank. They sometime glue the SPID sheet in the top of the engine compartment. Go to "My Workhorse" to see all the SPIDs for your motorhome. They will be listed in the left column. If you have this affected SPID you will no doubt see an OPEN campaign in your My Workhorse OR you would have received a letter.
