Well, I have 18,500 miles on my Koni's that I installed myself just over two years ago. The price I paid was $136 ea from LTB Motorsports but now the best price is around $154 with free shipping. If you're not a DIY type, I highly recommend Redlands Truck & RV. I was just there last week and they know their stuff and do an awesome job.
Regarding the performance of the Koni's....
You may have driven on the natural "desert pavement" around Quartzsite, AZ, this stuff is rough but drivable in big rigs. I had my Koni's for a couple of months when I was linking up with a good friend at the QZ show and he was about half mile into one of the BLM open areas for camping. I met him just off the highway and he hopped in my coach to lead me to his spot. As soon as we traveled a few hundred feet over those 2-3 inch stones he instantly knew the Koni's made a world of difference in a softer ride. I equate it to airing down the tires to about 20 lbs because they absorb almost all the 1-2 drop you get in concrete highway expansion joints. Anyway ... a couple weeks later Earl had 8 Koni FSD's installed on his Monaco Camelot diesel pusher ( ya, they take 8!). About 6 months later his wife thanked me for giving Earl the recommendation because the smoother ride was sooo much better.
Here's one posting from just a couple of weeks ago:
Koni Shocks
Happy trails and a smooth ride,
