I currently have 225/70 19.5 Michelin XZA tires, load range F on my Brave. They are now about 9 years old and obviously need to be replaced. It is a shame though, the tires show absolutely no weathering at all, not even hairline cracks and only have 23,000 miles on them.
I have been pricing (expensive) Goodyear G670's and have been advised that I could go to 245/70 19.5 tires in the same load range. I am concerned about dual clearance.
I am hoping you can tell me if the larger size will still provide proper dual clearance for me. This is a "P" chassis.
Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

My suggestion would be to pose this question to our service center reps, Mike or possibly Keith. They should be able to nail this thing down for you quickly.
There have been a number of other members that have pursued this tire change as well so I would also expect to hear from them.
Failing that a call to Goodyear will be able to furnish you with all the info you need.
Now since the Michelins have been giving you such good service, I might be persuaded to continue with Michelin. I did.

The 245 is about 15mm wider than the 225 and they will touch in the dual application.
Goodyear makes the G670 in your size: 225/70R19.5 load range F.

Thank you both for your responses. Keith you have provided the positive answer i needed.
Yes, DriVer, the Michelins have provided fabulous service for my application. I have also considered replacing with the same model for that reason. I understand that the Goodyear tires may provide a slightly softer ride.
I will stick to the existing size regardless which I go with. I guess price will be the answer to my final decision.
